Screen Effects

This tutorial will focus on a technique which can be used whenever a scene is viewed from a static viewpoint. Many possible effects can be achieved using this technique to add some additional quality to your games.

In a nutshell the technique is to align a manipulated screenshot of the scene on a plane in front of the camera. When done correctly this will match perfectly with the scene behind it. Then by fading the plane in and out some impressive visual effects can be created.
